Snapchat ad library: how to see any brand’s Snapchat ads in Europe

Yes, Snapchat has an ad library: its EU Ads Gallery lists the ads shown in the EU in the last 12 months. What it shows, why it is hard to search by brand, and how to find a competitor’s Snapchat ads.

Published · Data as of 23 October 2026

Yes, there is a Snapchat ad library. Snapchat publishes the ads it shows in the European Union in its public Ads Gallery, with the impressions each ad had in each country. It is hard to use for one thing marketers want most: seeing everything a brand runs. Metrice has grouped 4.8 million ads from it by the brand behind them.

Does Snapchat have an ad library?

Yes, for the EU. Under Article 39 of the Digital Services Act, large platforms must keep a public, searchable record of the ads they show (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065). Snapchat’s is the Ads Gallery. It needs no account, and its public API needs no login either (Snap developer docs).

Many guides still say Snapchat only has a political ads library. That was true until August 2023, when the gallery launched (Snap). Snapchat’s political ads library still exists, as yearly downloads, but Snap stopped political ads in the EU on 1 October 2025. The Ads Gallery is the one that holds commercial ads.

  • Ads delivered in the EU in the last 12 months, and commercial content that is live now.
  • Each ad’s image or video.
  • Who paid for it.
  • How long it ran, and its targeting.
  • The impressions Snapchat reports for it in each EU country (Snap).

The gallery covers the European Union. Metrice’s data also includes ads Snapchat lists for Türkiye. There are no ads for the United Kingdom, Norway or the United States.

Why it is hard to search by brand

The gallery finds ads only by the name of whoever paid for them, and researchers at AI Forensics confirmed in May 2026 that this is its only search (AI Forensics). The payer is often not the brand: it can be an agency, a reseller, a billing company or a parent company. One brand’s ads can sit under several payers, none of them carrying the brand’s name.

  • There is no page per brand: you cannot open one page with everything a brand runs.
  • You cannot list a country’s or a sector’s ads without a payer’s name, or compare brands.

Where Snapchat advertising is in Europe

France is by far the largest market in the gallery: 55% of the impressions Snapchat reports for these ads were in France, ahead of Germany (12%) and the Netherlands (7.4%). These are shares of the ads in Metrice’s library, not of Snapchat’s whole audience. The largest advertisers per country and sector are on Snapchat advertisers.

How to find a competitor’s Snapchat ads

  1. In Snapchat’s gallery: search the exact name of the company that pays for the ads. Try the brand, its legal name, its parent company and its agency.
  2. On Metrice: search the brand by its own name. Metrice reads the same public gallery and groups every ad by the brand it advertises, whoever paid.
  3. For a market view: the largest Snapchat advertisers per country and sector.

Meta, TikTok, Google, LinkedIn, Pinterest and X each keep their own library, and they show different things. See ad libraries for every platform.

About the data

Metrice reads the public ad gallery that Snapchat publishes for the European Union under the Digital Services Act, and groups its ads by the brand behind them. Impressions are the figures Snapchat reports for each ad in each country since it started; they are not spend and not reach.

Snapchat lists ads by who paid for them, which is often an agency or a billing company. Grouping by brand is Metrice’s own work and can be wrong for a single advertiser. If you see a mistake, tell us. More in About the data.
